(My
first time traveling by plane)
Are you afraid
of airplanes? Great things never come from comfort zones. You have nothing to
lose and a world to see.
When I was
seven, I went on vacation to Panama. I remember that the day before I was so
excited that I couldn't sleep much, even
though I went to sleep early. The next day I got up early to make sure all my
things were ready for the trip. I was ready at five in the morning to catch an
early flight from Mariscal Sucre airport. I was so excited that I didn't care
that I was very sleepy. My mom, dad, brother, and I went to the airport. My dad
was driving whereas my brother and I slept. Arriving at the airport my heart
was pounding. We had to wait a long time in a waiting room, but it didn't
matter much to me because I was so excited. To be honest I was also feeling a
bit nervous, because I had seen some movies where there were plane crashes and
it scared me and that made me feel very restless for a moment.
After a while we
had to wait in line to get our tickets and then we deliver our bags. My family
and I went to another room to wait for the boarding call. One of the
stewardess, who was wearing a black suit, white blouse and multi-colored scarf,
welcomed us. I sat next to my brother and my dad next to my mom. My brother and
I planned to watch movies while we were flying. When the plane started to move,
I got more and more scared because the engines roared.
I felt that my
legs began to shake as the plane moved faster and faster down the runway. When
the plane started to rise my stomach knotted and I just closed my eyes and held
my brother's hand tightly. After a moment, I calmed down and could enjoy the
view. It was very nice to see the whole city from above, everything looked so
small. After a few minutes, only the clouds were visible.
During the trip, the hostesses served us a delicious snack with a refreshing drink. The smell of food was irresistible, as was the smell of coffee, but my parents wouldn't let me have it. I was so hungry, that I thought that was the yummiest sandwich I had ever tried, it had juicy meat with an exquisite sauce and tasty vegetables.
After about two
hours, we landed. That was one of the best experiences of my life and I was
able to overcome my fear, since in the following plane trips that I did, I felt
much safer.
Well, I liked that you put images according to what was said in each paragraph, since that way people can imagine better the situation described, I also liked how you specific every detail, like, how you felt at all times, when you got on the plane, when landing and getting off the plane, what you saw on the trip, what you ate, and also some of the people on the plane, all that using many sensory details, that made me able to interpret and imagine it, in a better way the whole situation described in the text. It also seemed to me that you distributed the information well in the paragraphs, you used the correct structure for the realization of the personal narrative so that made it easier to understand it, and the conclusion seemed good to me since you put what you learned based on your lived experience. Nice job.

ResponderEliminarI Love this personal narrative, I remember that when I got into a plane for the first time I was very nervous, because until that time I won’t travel on a plane, but when the travel finalize I said: " I want to do that again", HA HA increíble, all the people around me was confused, it was too funny al the time, also I like the structure of your blog, It have all the components and I really imagine all the situations when you were in the plane and that was crazy and I love the strong adjectives of this blog, I love the images here, there catch more my atention and also the attetion getter, It was easy for me t oread your blog, it is atracctive and in the visual aspect is beatuiful, and your conclusión was incredible and to firm, I repeat thay I love your work.
ResponderEliminarI really think that this personal narrative is amazing, since I had never fly in a airplane or something similar before (well I did, but I was a baby, I do not remember anything of that day), I can not say that I understand that emotions, but with your narrative, I think that I fly through your words arround the world, or well that i show I can describe it… also I like the detailed that it is, because it explains and describes everything, the sensations the feelings, the sensory details, and that stuff, and I like how images play an important role in what is presentation and creativity. I truly love it I won’t lie, because it is like traveling to the protagonist place, but I am just sitting at my computer chair, like when I read a book, it is a very similar or the same feeling like in that moments of reading a book. <3
